” Arts Argued ” is an annual event at our art festival where we guide creators to contemplate important contemporary issues. This year’s theme is “AI Can’t Do.”

We know that AI is powerful, but we firmly believe that human creativity is the essence of all creation.

Human creativity stems from the dexterity of our hands, the expression of emotions, conscious reflection, and a deep understanding of cultural backgrounds—elements that AI cannot replicate.

Human civilization and art began with the hands, whether through cave paintings or modern sculptures. These creations showcase the meticulous craftsmanship and emotional investment of humans, a process rich in nuance and inspiration that AI cannot mimic.

Art is an expression of emotion. Whether through painting, music, or dance, it conveys the emotions and thoughts of the creator. While AI can generate images or music, it lacks true emotional resonance because these works are devoid of genuine emotional input.

Moreover, consciousness and self-reflection are at the core of artistic creation. Humans have the ability to reflect on their actions and make moral and ethical decisions in complex situations. Although AI can mimic behavioral patterns, it lacks true self-awareness and subjective experience.

Artworks are also deeply influenced by the cultural background and personal experiences of the creator. This cultural and contextual uniqueness gives depth and richness to the art. While AI can imitate the surface features of a culture, it cannot understand or experience its deeper meanings.

Cherish and nurture the unique abilities of humans—what AI cannot replace.
